February ’25 – Chess League Results
The chess league continues through February with our largest number of participants to date! 26 Players came, saw and some even conquered the boards on Saturday with visions of the Chess League Titles in their futures! 7 new players joined the competition this month; Elizabeth Charles, Gurnoor Farmaha, Navtej Farmaha, Martin Taylor, Stephen Frain, Vihaan Shah and Vivek Rival!
Open Section
Garrett Nixon finishes an impressive 4.0 on the day taking down some tough competition. Jalen, the 2024 U1100 Chess LEague Champion has an impressive showing going 3.0 on the day finishing in a three-way tie for 2nd Place. Jalen shares second with Kia Safai and Lucky. With consistent finishes in the top three, Kia takes over the lead in the Open section for the Section Crown.
U1000 Section
D’Tuane Ingram makes his triumphant return to the Chess League by going a perfect 4.0 for the day taking the first place prize! A three-way tie for 2nd place followed by Stephen Frain, Gary Williams and Isaiah German! Gary continues to hold the overall section lead on the year, but is followed closely by Peter Newton, Isaiah German and D’Tuane in the U1000 Section Chess League Standings.
D-Tuane Ingram goes a perfect 4.0 on the day to take first place in the U1000 Section 
Isaiah German continue his aggressive and impressive palay sharing 2nd Place 
Stephen Frain takes a share of second place in the U1000 Section 
Gary Williams finishes on the podium for the 2nd consecutive month, sharing second place
