May ’25 Chess League Results

We began the month of May with our largest number of registrants yet! Thanks to the accommodation and our partnership with the Columbia County Library we were able to break our sections into two separate rooms to allow for a more professional playing environment for our 32 Registrants!

Open Section

While enjoying the new accommodations 12 players battled in our for this month’s portion of the Chess League Title! Erik “Lucky” Walker once again finished in first place with a 3.5 score, followed closely by Kia and Abigail with 3.0 points tying for second. Kia retakes the overall lead in the Chess League Standings while Garrett enjoys some beauty rest. Lucky and Lily keep pace with Kia sharing the top three spots in the League Standings!

U1000 Section

D’Taune Ingram returns to re-establish his strength and flexes with 3.5 points to finish in 1st Place! 2nd Place found a four-way tie between Gurnoor Farmaha, Nicholas Irons, John Cheeks II and Vivek Raval! Gary Richard maintains the overall lead of the U1000 Section and maintains a healthy gap between the current 2nd Place.
