April ’25 – Chess League Results
Even during the opening weekend of spring break and Master’s week, we saw 25 players in April’s Chess League, with 3 new players once again! It excites me to no end to see the love for the game growing amongst our youth and community! Thank you all for your support!
Open Section
With 2 new players to the club, Erik “Lucky” Walker re-establish himself as the premier player going a perfect 4.0 on the day! Maxwell Thomas and Gerald Battaglia finish neck and neck with 3.0 points on the day to finish in a tie for second place! Congratulations to these three and also our two new players in the Open Section, Alexander Duerden and Jacob Hanna!
U1000 Section
With the April Tournament we found our new player John Cheeks establish himself as a force to be reconned with as he introduced himself to our Club by going a perfect 4.0 in the U1000 Section taking the sole first place finish! After their consistent play, second place was settled in a four-way tie at 3.0 points between Vihaan Shah, Arnav Sharma, Gary Richard and Gurnoor Farmaha!
