March ’25 – Chess League Results
We saw 31 registrants in this month’s Chess League, with 3 new players! It excites me to no end to see the love for the game growing amongst our youth and community! Thank you all for your support!
Open Section
With exciting competition in the Open section, there was no single winner. Four Players finished in a 4-way tie for first Place with 3.0 points: Garrett Nixon, Kia Safai, Colson Herrin and Lily She each win $75 each for their performances yesterday! Congratulations to these players! Kia maintains his overall slim lead with Garrett and Lily closing in on the overall league title!
U1000 Section
We continued our chess league with our March edition yesterday. And saw the youth continue to ascend with their progress! Gary Williams and Jeff Estes finished tied for 1st in the U1000 Section going 3.5 sharing the March title, but 3rd place saw a five-way tie at 3.0 points. Gurnoor Farmaha, Mike Games, Arnav Sharma, Vivek Raval and Atharva Mishra all finished the day successfully splitting the 3rd Place Prize. Gary Richard continues to hold his overall lead in the section while Peter Newton and Atharva Mishra follow closely behind in the standings.
